SAVANNAH, Ga., November 15, 2006 - Farmers' Almanac TV(tm), a multi-media platform company inspired by the Farmers' AlmanacTM, will air a 30-minute episode on the Lind Washington Combine Demolition Derby on Nov. 17 at 9 p.m. on RFD-TV.

The show will repeat twice on the rural television network, which is distributed nationwide and carried by DISH Network, DIRECTV, Mediacom, and NCTC cable. The combine demolition derby show is listed under The Jam in the RFD-TV guide.

"We are thoroughly excited about this episode. It showcases a very exciting rural tourism event that benefits an entire community," said Renee Bishop, executive producer of the show, Farmers' Almanac TV.

The episode, shot last year, depicts the drama, enthusiasm and innovativeness of the derby, which has served as a major fundraiser for community programs, such as senior and youth services. It has also generated a little notoriety to combine drivers, Josh Knodel and Matt Miller, who along with other participants and drivers, have helped build the event from nothing, to more than 4,000 people.

A five-minute segment of the combine demolition derby appears on the Farmers' Almanac TV web site, www.FarmersAlmanacTV.com. It has also appeared on the magazine show, Farmers' Almanac TV, which runs on public television in more than 35 states.

To date, the segment has generated more than 1,600 views on the Farmers' Almanac TV web site. It also has been selected by Google Video to run on its video site: video.google.com.

It's not a surprise that the video has been so popular. According to Mickey Youmans, executive vice president of development and production for Farmers' Almanac TV, the event is compelling on many levels.

"First and foremost, the Combine Demolition Derby sets a shining example for what a small American community can accomplish when they put their minds to it. Secondly, it highlights the family and what it means for fathers and sons to work together with a common goal. Thirdly, it reveals the teamwork and camaraderie of the contestants. Last, but not least, it's a lot of fun," he said.

Farmers' Almanac TV gives special thanks to Carol Kelly, who helped coordinate the shoot for Farmers' Almanac TV crew.

The show is listed in the RFD-TV guide under "The Jam" because it is being presented by Blue Highways TV, which presents The Jam.
