About Farmers' Almanac TV

Farmers' Almanac TV was founded in 2003 by a group of Savannah-GA based entrepreneurs who saw an opportunity to produce family friendly and entertaining television programming - and market it to the millions of Americans who enjoy farmers' almanac publications.

The company, Buy the Farm LLC., secured the exclusive rights to the Farmers' Almanac TM , published by Almanac Publishing Company since 1818. It then quickly transformed the almanac's down-home wisdom, ready wit and helpful information into captivating video for distribution on traditional television and cable platforms, satellite, Internet and mobile phones.

Farmers' Almanac TV debuted on public television in April 2006. The show covers everything from natural cures to cooking to sustainable urban agriculture. It also adds a dash of valuable hints and quirky tidbits found in both present and past almanacs. The second season will begin to air in January.

Farmers' Almanac TV segments and interstitials are also syndicated on the Brightcove broadband network, for viewers who want to watch television on the Internet.
